I was at my cousin's house in Portland. She's currently preggers, but hasn't had her baby yet. In my dream, she had her baby and it (maybe a boy) was at least a year old. It couldn't walk, but it could talk. As her husband picked up the phone and went into another room, and while my cousin was busy doing something the baby told me his mom loved someone else and was cheating on his dad. This was shocking coming from a one year old. But he said he'd heard his mom talking on the phone. The baby even told me his name, Joe T. (a guy I went to high school with and later was my cousin's boss, his dad was my Soph. English teacher and I went on a blind date with his cousin). When my cousin came back, I asked her about it. She confessed that she wanted a divorce and her marriage was over. When her husband came back into the room, still on the phone, they started yelling at each other. I think it might have even been Joe on the phone.

This is totally contrary to the information I've gotten from home recently. She says things with her husband have never been better since they found out they're having a baby. And she hated Joe T. when they worked together! Not sure why this came up!

My brother was sitting at a table across from a Russian woman. She was wearing a big fur hat and dressed very nicely. Somehow I knew she was an athelete - she did winter biathalon - skiing and shooting. My brother started crying and said to me, `If I win the gold medal, I`m going to give it to you.` I asked why and then said, `Of course you can beat her!` But then a while after, I heard she was the top Russian skiier/shooter and everyone had her hoisted on their shoulders and I wasn`t so sure he could beat her anymore.

Sista K was involved in this one but I can't quite remember how. I was set up on a lesbian date with a beautiful Indian girl. We were out at an ice cream place. The only vivid part is the conversation. I said, "You know, I don't really like ice cream and I'm not a lesbian." She said, "Geez, I know I know, just stop rubbing it in."

CBC Ideas inspiration

I finished listening to the CBC Ideas show last night about dreams. It was truly inspiring stuff.

I tried to set myself a dream sign so that I could recognise when I was dreaming - but it didn't work.

This is going to take some serious effort!

I'm with one of my close friends Chris back at home in England. Everyone is asleep in my house, so we decide to steal my parent's jewellery. We enter the house quietly, and begin taking everything we can find - strangely shaped ear rings, necklaces and exotic rings. (I don't feel in anway bad about stealing from my own parents, in fact I feel like I'm being a good friend by helping Chris.) Once finished we leave the house via the back door, enter the garden and climb over the tall garden fence. After successfully climbing over the fence, we find ourselves faced with another yet another one to climb. As we being climbing this second fence, my younger sister from inside the house notices us and calls out our names.

At a swimming pool complex with Yusuke. He is showing me how to jump into the pool from a great height - not head first, but feet first. I think he's speaking English.

Matt`s Dream - Oct 29th

Triggers: some (this means do you know why you were dreaming about what you were dreaming about...were you thinking of something previously in the day that triggered the dream)

I was in a large, empty house. It felt like some gigantic catastrophe had just finished. The sky was gray and the clouds were low. The world felt empty. My brother David and I were trying to escape from this house because some people were looking for us. I was in a tunnel in the basement and we met some other people who were trying to escape. There was one man who said, `Does anyone here speak Romanian?` A Romanian girl I knew from high school suddenly appeared and said, `I do.` Then all of us sneaked out the back door, across the grass to a steep ravine that was filled with bushes and grass and fallen trees. We jumped down into this ravine but were making a lot of noise, so for a while, we all stood silently and tried to hide in the brush. I lay flat on a fallen log and covered myself with camouflage. My Uncle appeared and came crashing down into the ravine and we were all hiding silently. He was standing right beside me when he suddenly pushed me and I rolled off the log. I thought I had been better hidden.

In the distance, an enormous hurricane was brewing. It came over top of us while we were standing in a field and the air was blue and clear. We were in the eye. I reached down and took a fist of dirt from the field and said, `See, there is nothing to worry about.` And then someone said to me, `Yes, but we`re in the eye.`
